Can a massage therapist actually learn a lesson from KFC? I totally think it is possible. The founder of Kentucky Fried Chicken built a multi-million dollar company that still remains successful today.
One of the things the Colonel believed in was personal development and many famous people echo the philosophy that the best investment a person can make is in themselves.
As massage therapists we should not only take care of our bodies but we should also take care of our minds as well.
To watch this little video about Colonel Sanders that highlights the importance of personal development to help achieve success in business and life click here and then click on "Life With KFC" at the bottom of the page. There will be a video link for you to see.

What would you do if you could do anything? Where would you go if you could go anywhere? How would you spend the rest of your life if it was up to you? Believe it or not, YOU CAN have, be, or do anything you wish if you just believe and go for your dreams.
Are you having trouble believing that you can accomplish your dreams? Do you need a little inspiration? How about a little goose pimples to give you a little nudge in the right direction of thinking all your dreams can come true. Would that help out?
Check out this man and his dream. He believed and went for it. You can do the same.
After you watch this video please share it with others and ask them to do the same. Remember, YOU CAN IF YOU ONLY BELIEVE!
Recently I studied how you can use cause marketing to build your business. What is cause marketing you may ask? To put it simple it is a form of marketing you can do to make your business look good. It is sort of a good public relations campaign to keep you in good standing and visibility with the community.
How can cause marketing build your business?...
Our goal as massage therapists in building our client base is to do just that, build our client base. We all know if you don't have clients you are not making money. Now we know it is not ALL about the money but we ALL have to have the green stuff if we want to live.
Learning a little about cause marketing can give you the information to build your massage practice to the desired level you wish.

I know many of you have heard of Massage Nerd and if you have found the link that shows the list of “You Might Be a Massage Therapist If” then you could not leave there without laughing your head off.
It is a list that only a massage therapist may get but that is ok. If you can think of any that are not on the list then go ahead and add them here.
Here is mine….”You might be a massage therapist if you went to massage therapy school.”
Ok, I know that one made you laugh. Anyway click here to visit Massage Nerds list.
I enjoy reading blogs about massage therapy and recently found one that had a post about yoga and massage therapy leading to possession. You read it right! Possession.
I was really surprised by that post and had to leave my opinion on the matter. I don't know about any of you fellow professionals out there in massage land but I can't remember anything about massage therapy leading to possession.
Ok, if it is true do you think any of the instructors would even tell us of this terrible risk within the field? I think not! All the care about is getting us through massage school.
Now if you believe anything in that last sentence I wrote then please contact me so we can meet for a serious talk because there is no way I believe massage therapy can lead to possession. I mean we are talking about certified health care workers here.
That is like saying that being a doctor can lead to possession or being a dentist can lead to possession.
Anyway, I found the post kind of humorous and just thought I would share. If you would like to read the post I am talking about and even leave your own two cents then I will include the link below.
Just to let everyone know here that is Professional Massage Training Center, Inc. of Springfield, Mo. alumni that the schools web site got a new face lift.
The site use to be a single page that had some basic info and did allow for gift certificates to be purchased online.
The new site features several pages and is very easy to navigate. You will be missing out if you do not visit the site on a regular basis.
I was at the Massage Magazine website and going through the press releases and found one that I thought I needed to share.
Being a business student, headlines about companies being bought and sold within the wellness industry is always an eyecatcher for me.
From what I understand most all the management postitions are staying the same but the Massage Envy company was just sold. The dollar amount was not disclosed but I am sure it was up in the 100's of million dollar range. I will let you know what the exact amount was as soon as I find out.
If anyone who works at Massage Envy would like to share their thoughts and opinions on the matter then that would be awesome.
I just recently found out about a great resource for massage therapists. MassageTherapyRadio.com has a great video they did that shares some of the opportunities for therapists when they go to work at Massge Envy.
