This is Rob Roy. Just decided to give ya an update on what's been going on since I left school. It's just after mid-terms for my second go round of school, so that means were on min-term break. I've continued my energy work training in QT and I got reiki certified (level 1). Circumstances have a way of working out. I got a job doing massage for Acupoint health clinic (acupuncture clinic) a week before I was layed off from my other job, due to the economy. So, I am now currently living off massage therapy as a sole income. It's different, it's scary (especially when you got loans like I do), and I sit here finishing out my second week of doing this. This week was pretty poor, and I know I have a ton more networking and canvasing to do before I become "settled", so to speak. I know I'll make it, but would like to meet with you at some point to discuss business and how I can make this canvasing more effective. They got commercials running for me, which will make getting my name out there easier, but it's easier for people to associate with a trade or item if they can see a face too. So, I'm left with mindlessly going about the city introducing myself to strangers to let me rub on them for money durin a psudo-recession, not 100%, but giving it a stab in the dark. On top of massaging for an acupunturist, I have to learn things that were never taught in school (more or less, due to time and how important they were). They used to teach about the elements, seasons, and all that, in relation to chinese influence in massage. Most of that got removed from the curriculum do to seperate standards in the national exam (aka. NCBTM vs NCETMB

I stopped in the grocery on my way home from work. I was wearing my scrubs and still had my Massage Therapist name tag on. I noticed a lady who kept staring at me so I smiled and said "How are you today?" She said "How can I tell if I need a massage?"
I asked her "Are you alive?" She laughed and said "Yeah". I said "Then you need a massage." And I gave her my card. She called 30 minutes later and scheduled an hour for the next day.
The moral of this story is.... never overlook a markeing opportunity.

Not much here. I have not taken my test yet. I took a little break from school and now I am getting back to study so I will take it next month. I want to wait as late as possible. I am sad I know. I just love putting things off until the last minute. The spa at the Lake is going to hire me on their next opening. They have interviewed me and everything I just want to work there so I am going to wait a few more weeks till I get a job.

I've made changes since we left school. I've changed my name and will be the location of my office. My business name is:
&nb sp; A Touch Above, LLC &nb sp; &nb sp; Massage Center
We are moving to a place off of Kearney that is very visible with easy access. Our old place was on the 2nd floor with no elevator. I'm very excited and but it will need quite a bit of cosmetic changes before we can move in.
I will send you my new brochure when I get it changed up a little. That will be an easy change.
